We promise we have professional shots coming for this project, but we had requests for couldn't wait because the transformation is THAT good y'all! #iphonepicsaremyjam Catch up on the first floor progress from a few weeks back here in this post, and then have a look at a few of the spaces taking shape upstairs!

I put this in the last post, but really, how gorgeous is this new staircase?! Quite a change from before...

The loft area at the top of the space might just be one of my favorite spots in the whole house. Our clients had these vintage metal records tucked away for years and casually mentioned them, not even thinking they could possibly be utilized as decor. When we went through the boxes, I just about cried...I love vintage pieces and things that are passed down through generations are just treasures. I knew exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I laid eyes on them.

Mounting them in these floating acrylic cases with the brass corner details is just *chef's kiss* and the clients were absolutely floored. It could possibly be one of their favorite details of this entire project.
Ok, deep breath here before your eyes continue. There was a lot to tackle in the primary bedroom...

It wasn't worth the extra cost to our clients to change the architectural details in this room. Instead we decided to transform the space with color, and what a transformation that was, even before we did anything else to the room it looked like a new room!

We updated the flooring and ceiling fan as well and added motorized shades which I am now obsessed with. We're still waiting on a pair of cozy upholstered chairs by the windows but here's a sneak peek of the rest of the furniture, styled for fall...

I really love how this modern transitional bed frame turned out! It's a modern take on a four poster bed, and having simple lines for the furniture makes the curved columns and multi-tiered ceiling feel special rather than overwhelming.
Ok, deep breath again, the powder room before...

This powder bath footprint stayed the same, but it gave us a fair chance to play with something fun. You know how I feel about powder rooms. They're like islands. Close the door and go wild. Enter this wallpaper:

It's so whimsical, yet moody, and such a surprise for guests and these clients too! We also added a bit of storage by replacing the pedestal sink with this built in vanity, and added a touch of glamour with the brass sconce, fixtures, and hardware. #crappyiphonephotosaremyjam
This house is huge y'all and has a separate media room, gym, and playroom. We are in Texas after all. For this project we flipped the former media room into the playroom and made a different space you'll see later into the new media room.

All this particular playroom needed was a fresh coat of paint, fresh carpet, and all the fun and color we could bring in with the decor and of course, the kids toys....

Like this! The power of white paint, y'all - it's so much brighter in here! But as I've mentioned many times before, please, I beg of you, do not crowdsource your paint colors. It's all about the undertone and there are thousands of white paint colors, you read that right, so when in doubt hire an expert and get the color right the first time. Rant over. Back to pretty...

These art pieces were just so sweet that I couldn't resist selecting, and really a message we all need, right?
This bathroom serves not only the guest bedroom but is in the same wing as the media room with access from the hallway. We wanted to make it enjoyable for visitors both long and short term so we said bye bye bye to everything you see below.

For this room, we went with a mix of black and gold in the overhead vanity sconce, and the rich olive green color for the new custom vanity. It's a gorgeous statement green without being overwhelming. We pulled this color scheme into several rooms from downstairs, including from the wallpaper in the powder bath, and I love how it turned out! Matte black accessories and simple modern wall art go a long way.

There's still more rooms we haven't even shared, but we'll wait for the full professional shoot to show you everything!
